So @the78barandkitchen didn’t win the Community chefs challenge…. that’s ok though at least we made it to the final and it’s all about taking part eh? 🙋🏻‍♂️. Here’s what we made.
Locally foraged Puffball mushroom scallops in a smoked oat cream broth with celery, carrots, leeks, yellow courgette, potato and chervil with parsnip crisps and homemade seaweed and green chilli oatcakes. 🌱
Well done to @eusebi_deli for their winning dish. Also big ups to @hellafoodandwine @thatsyerdinner @kafcoffee @oxandfinch @dimoraglasgow @the_flavourbombking @wearesprigg and everyone else who took part, also @glasgowcommunityfoodnetwork @locavore_cic @greenheartgrowers @greenhollowsmark @cofgcollege Edinburgh community food-Brenda Black @gmacchef @cate.devine Glasgow allotments forum-Jan Macdonald and all the lovely staff at City college and anyone else who helped today. What a tremendous experience and also so lovely to meet others who have a passion for what beautiful produce comes from right on our doorstep. Check all these folks out! And get involved if you can with some community food stuff, it’s all about trying to be accessible and bring awareness and get more folk involved. And that’s a great thing.
